Dress codes and age limits at Madrid clubs

Before a night out there are two things to know about each club: what to wear and how old you have to be. Here are the 43 clubs we follow: dress codes and door policies come from our club guides, and ages from their official tickets, which sometimes change from night to night.
What to wear

Age limits
28 of the 43 clubs are 18+. These ask for more: Todos Santos (20+), Gabana (21+), Gunilla (21+), Marabú (23+), Perro Negro (25+) and Panda Club (25+).
Nights with a different age limit
Taken from the official tickets of their parties over the next six weeks:
- Fitz Club: 20+ on Thursday and 22+ on Friday and Saturday
- Gabana: 19+ on Wednesday
- Perro Negro: 18+ on Tuesday
- Vandido: 22+ on Thursday and 26+ on Friday and Saturday

Questions
Do you need to dress up for Madrid clubs?
For most of them, yes. Of the 35 clubs whose dress code we know, 31 ask for a smart look or more, and only 4 have none: La Riviera, Sala MON, Copérnico and Cats Madrid.
Can I wear trainers?
At clubs with no dress code, yes. Clubs that ask for a smart look don't usually let in sportswear, tracksuits or flip-flops, and clean street trainers depend on the door. At selective doors, wear proper shoes.
What is the age limit at Madrid clubs?
28 of the 43 clubs are 18+, but not all of them: Todos Santos (20+), Gabana (21+), Gunilla (21+), Marabú (23+), Perro Negro (25+) and Panda Club (25+). And 14 change the age depending on the night: check the table before you buy.
What ID do I need?
Your original passport or ID card. The door asks for it even if you have a ticket, and a photo on your phone is not usually accepted.
Can I be turned away with a ticket?
Yes: the door has the final say on age, dress code, capacity or state. What happens to your money depends on the conditions of each party's ticket.
