New Year’s Eve 2026 parties in Madrid

New Year’s Eve 2026 falls on a Thursday, and Friday 1 January is a public holiday all over Spain. Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 follow, so it is a long weekend.

For reference, on New Year’s Eve 2025 an advance ticket cost around €33 on average in the Madrid region, up to 20% less than at the door, according to the nightlife industry’s survey.

Early. Tickets are sold in tiers: when one sells out or reaches its deadline, the next one costs more. In 2025, 57% of Madrid’s New Year’s Eve tickets were bought in advance, 17.8 days ahead on average, and more than one in four venues selling in advance expected to sell out.

On New Year’s Eve 2025 the metro closed at the usual time, around 1:30am, and Sol station was shut from 6pm for the chimes. After that there are EMT night buses (búhos) and taxis: check this year’s timetables with Metro de Madrid and EMT before you go.
